Well, Christmas is over and we arrive at a time of year that always feels like death to me - cold, grey, frosty, dark, truly the moment of repose in the tomb before a slight and gradual resurrection to light and life…or, at least, we hope.
We went away for a few days just after New Year and the place we stayed in had a TV. In our house we have a projector so we don’t have the experience of simply turning on the TV to see if anything is on. I think it is probably better this way on the whole because you have to be intentional about watching anything. But when we were away we did turn the TV on a couple of times. One of the things I watched with my two boys is a show that was on the channel Yesterday called Great British Railway Journeys hosted by Michael Portillo.
