This week and last have seen the bitter return of Winter to this island archipelago. We had a week of what is known as “Fool’s Spring” - a trick of nature to make us believe that the long period of darkness and cold was truly over, a partial resurrection of vitality and life. But it was not to be. My reflections this week will therefore focus on something other than the present miserable weather, though life is not ever all bad even as we hope for the return of the warmth of the sun. Perhaps it will coincidence with all the sweetness and light of Easter Sunday.
On a brief autobiographical note, the most significant aspect of this week for me personally is that child #3 has entered into another phase of teething. This has resulted in three very disrupted nights for me (I am not being a martyr here but I am the only one who can get her back to sleep when she gets in certain conditions).
