Hi everyone. This is just a link to a new podcast that I did with comic and broadcaster Nick Dixon. I felt like I was a bit rambly and then very intense. But it’s got some nice comments so far. Here Nick’s blurb: ”We talk about: -Why he became a Christian
That was very entertaining. I’d resisted listening to the weekly sceptic as Toby Young grates on me a bit. But after listening to your chat with him I’ve relented - Nick Dixon is spot on.
I am another former atheist who was looking for Jesus. I found him at an Antiochian Orthodox church. The English clergy there had left the C of E several years ago over womens' ordaination. It's a very vibrant congregation.
But hearing you speak just then - that is the first time that I have thought the Church of England might want someone like me. I am traditional in outlook and i want Christianity to be challenging. Otherwise what's the point?
I specifically don't want to hear the church participating in smashing heteronormativity, nor do i want to find helter-skelters or train sets in the nave.
I would actually love to attend my local C of E church. But as i say, i have had no indication that they want people like me.
